A life is worth only a little over 40 mins in jail!
Sounds surprising?? Well what else can you tell after you hear the Bhopal gas tragedy verdict. for over 25000 lives taken the accused get just 2 years in jail... or about 2523 secs for each victim! And a man in Patna committed a heniuos crime by kidnapping a kid and was given a 10 year RI by the court!
An article on web said.. India sells its dead cheap... hate the fact that the writer felt that dead could be sold in first place... but what I hated more was that he was right! We sold our dead to the powerful and make a mockery of the whole proceedings over 26 years to tell we have a lot of people to kill so do your 40 mins in jail for every death you cause!
We should not be complaining about Pakistan sending terrorists to kill our people... even if you caught the masterminds behind you would end up doing another Kasab or a Bhopal farce and insult the dead and the grieving! And what... Kasab wasted crores of your money just to be kept alive... and still is... this could have been used better for infrastructure to prepare and negate such incidents. We should have just lynched him in public to send the right message... its not too late... our police is CAPABLE of making mistakes and he escaping to meet his end this way...
So, your question would be what can we do??? Stand up and voice your bloody opinion! I am doing my bit and you can do yours. Spread the word and the hatred (for once I advocate it) for the INSULT TO THE INJURY the trusted Judiciary system has given! Get the "stage managers" who got Mr Anderson off the hook to the books. Get UC and now it's new owners Dow Chemicals to pay through their nose so bad that next time they sneeze they should think twice about consequences of spreading the virus leave alone another Bhopal!
If you are a lawyer.. you know what can be done... spread the word.. educate the masses to help us understand how we can push the government to help bring some justice at least!
Some say... too little too late... I say too much... too long! Too much has been taken away and too long taken to even give a verdict!
Judges... you are leaving a wound open and adding salt to the injury and not giving a closure as US representatives would say. Beware... when the public fury rises there is no place to hide!!! They have placed too much faith in your system and have been proven wrong time and again.. this will be the last straw!
For a crime that was clear and effects more than just evident.. should it have taken 26 years in first place???
When will we have the balls to get politicians to the court and get them behind bars without wasting public money and time???
